Paving construction involves creating durable, smooth surfaces like driveways, roads, patios, and walkways using materials like brick, concrete, or asphalt, requiring meticulous site prep (clearing, grading, compacting a base), precise installation (laying materials in patterns like running bond or stack bond), and finishing touches for drainage and aesthetics, with processes varying from hand-laying small jobs to machine-laying large-scale projects. Key aspects include proper sub-base compaction for longevity and addressing drainage issues for functionality.

In short, any surface!
For domestic paving applications we can simplistically refer to three areas:
– the entrance / driveway paving– paving the back-yard and utility areas, and– the personal space of paving patios and pools,
Each with different technical and design requirements.
When it comes to paving commercial roadways, driveways and parking areas, these require special sub-base paving preparation for the traffic loading that could be expected. Essentially each prepared 150mm layer allows heavier vehicles to pass safely without damage.
Paving tiles can also be applied to concrete slabs such as a kitchen or hallway floor.
And vertically… cladding in all its variations is a paving detail finish for walls, columns, steps and platforms.
